Well, I've been playing about a bit with recording the piano - not with a Kawai PR-1 as that was out of my price range, but with a Zoom H1. This is the cheapest machine in the Zoom range - it's build quality is basic, but the microphones & audio electronics seem as good as more expensive models.

Here is my first proper attempt at recording anything - while it could be improved in both terms of microphone setup and my playing I'm nevertheless quite happy with it.
